Rose Zhang won the Cognizant Founders Cup on Sunday to end Nelly Korda's record-tying LPGA Tour winning streak, rallying to beat Madelene Sagstrom by two strokes. Zhang birdied four of the final five holes to overcome a three-shot deficit in a thrilling final-round duel with Sagstrom after the two broke away from the field Saturday. Zhang shot a 6-under 66, birdieing Nos. 14, 15, 17 and 18 at Upper Montclair Country Club. Sagstrom bogeyed the 16th in a 69. Korda had a second straight 73 and tied for seventh at 7 under. Zhang, a two-time NCAA champion at Stanford, won last year at nearby Liberty National in her pro debut. She finished at 24 under 264 total.

Steve Stricker has a chance to play the PGA Championship as the winner of the Senior PGA Championship. The 57-year-old Stricker has decided to take a pass. Stricker cites fatigue and a busy schedule for giving up his spot at Valhalla next week. To have played the PGA Championship would have meant four big tournaments in five weeks. That stretch concludes with him hosting the American Family Insurance Championship in his native Wisconsin on the PGA Tour Champions. Stricker has been replaced in the Valhalla field by Alex Smalley.

Doug Barron won the Regions Tradition on Sunday for his third PGA Tour Champions victory and first major title, shooting a 4-under 68 to hold off Steven Alker by two strokes. Barron finished at 17-under 271 at Greystone in the first of the season's five senior majors. There wasn't a lot of drama in this one as he outlasted some of the tour's biggest names with a bogey-free round and a casual tap-in finish. Hall of Famers Ernie Els and Padraig Harrington ended up being the ones offering congratulatory hugs at the end. Barron called it "a dream come true to beat all these great players." Alker had a 63 to match the tournament record for Greystone.

Rory McIlroy won the Wells Fargo Championship for a record fourth time Sunday, overcoming a two-stroke deficit to beat Xander Schauffele by five strokes. No other player has won the event more than twice. McIlroy closed with a 6-under 65, playing the final 11 holes in 6 under even with a double bogey on the 18th hole. He finished at 17-under 267 after four straight rounds in the 60s and won his second straight PGA Tour event after teaming with Shane Lowry to take the Zurich Classic two weeks ago in New Orleans. Schauffele shot 71. McIlroy also won the event in 2010, '15 and '21.

Chris Gotterup won the inaugural Myrtle Beach Classic on Sunday for his first PGA Tour title, closing with a 4-under 67 for a six-stroke victory at Dunes Golf & Beach Club. The tournament was played opposite the Wells Fargo Championship. a signature event in Charlotte, North Carolina. Gotterup got a spot in the PGA Championship next week, but not in the Masters or a guaranteed spot in the remaining two $20 million signature events. Four strokes ahead entering the round, Gotterup bogeyed the first two holes, then rebounded with a birdie-eagle-birdie burst on the next three. The 24-year-old former University of Oklahoma player won in his 27th tour start, finishing at 22-under 262. Alistair Docherty and Davis Thompson tied for second.

Trying to win a record sixth straight LPGA Tour event, Korda was 11 shots behind Sagstrom and 10 back of two-time NCAA champion Zhang with a round left at Upper Montclair Country Club. After months of near-perfect play, Korda inexplicably hit bad drives, found bunkers from the fairway and missed short putts. She shot a 1-over 73. Sagstrom, who has played well on this course the last three years, had a 66 to get to 19-under 197. Zhang, who won in her professional debut in New Jersey state a year ago, had a 67 after lipping out on a short birdie putt at No. 18.

Els shot 70 with an eagle and a par-saving shot after sending the ball into the creek on No. 15 at Greystone. The World Golf Hall of Famer settled for par on the final hole, where Barron had birdied to catch up to him at 13-under 203. Faced with a 10-stroke deficit starting her second round in the event that honors the tour's founding members, Korda shot a 6-under 66 in cold, damp conditions to move into third place, four shots behind co-leaders Rose Zhang and Madelene Sagstrom with 36 holes to play this weekend. Yan Liu of China was fourth at 138, a shot ahead of Mel Reid of England.

He made a 50-foot birdie putt on the par-3 17th and a 17-footer from the fringe on the par-4 18th. He had a 12-under 130 total. MacIntyre, who was tied for the first-round lead with Beau Hossler after a 64, shot a 67. Jorge Campillo had his second 66 to get to 10 under.

Stricker, who has won three of the last four times at Greystone, had four birdies and a pair of bogeys over the first six holes before overtaking Els at the end. A World Golf Hall of Famer, Els shot a 68 in the second round.
