NAMIBIA — We humans have it so easy. If my back is itchy, I scratch it. If my neck is sore, I seek relief using some weird massage tool my wife got from Sharper Image. Regardless of whether these actions actually solve the problem, at least I feel like I can do something to try to help myself.
Imagine, however, you're a giraffe and you have a sore neck. Probably happens all the time, considering their necks can be up to 6 feet long and weigh 600 pounds. But there are no Sharper Image massage tools that can help in a situation like that.
If you were an elephant with an itchy back, you couldn't reach up there and scratch it. You'd just wander around desperately looking for a tree you could maybe rub against Baloo-style. Which is probably what the elephant was doing in this video.
It had an itchy tummy and couldn't believe its luck when it saw the hood of this vehicle.
I just feel sorry for the elephant in this video. It had finally found a tool to scratch its agonizing itch, and then the thing just up and drives away.
Have you seen this?
