CENTENNIAL, Colorado — Trash cans have an undeniably monotonous life. They spend six days a week getting filled with garbage and get lugged out to the curb on the seventh day, just to then go back and start the cycle all over again.
So can we really blame a trash can if it decides to flee its home and take advantage of some new opportunities? This video captures just such an escape. It appears the trash can waited until a big storm hit, so the homeowners would be hunkered down inside and wouldn't notice as it sailed away like an Enya-loving trash can.
According to the video description, this heartwarming scene occurred last month in Centennial, Colorado.
"Heavy 2023 Colorado rain picks up an empty garbage bin and carries it away," says the description. "'Binnie' was waiting for his opportunity to travel the world and he seized his chance."
I hope that we can all take some inspiration from this little video. If you've been waiting for a change of scenery, or to explore new areas, don't delay! Like this brave little trash can, you just need to seize the moment and make it happen.
