ST. GEORGE — A Richfield man is on a federal hold in Washington County after he was indicted in federal court last week facing child pornography charges.

On Friday, 72-year-old Brian Lee Reeve was booked into jail in Washington County after he was charged in federal court with one count of production of child pornography and one count of distribution of child pornography, according to the indictment filed in U.S. District Court in St. George.

The federal case was filed after federal prosecutors allege that starting in October of 2022, Reeve coerced a minor under the age of 12 to engage in sexually explicit conduct, then captured the acts on video, material he reportedly intended to distribute across state lines.

The case was originally filed in 6th District Court in Richfield on Oct. 24, 2024, when Reeve was charged with six second-degree felony counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. The charges stem from an investigation that started with a call by a food delivery employee making a trip to the suspect's home.
