RICHFIELD — Dak Eldredge won his fourth state wrestling title, and Millard claimed eight individual championships to cruise to a fourth consecutive team crown Friday at the 2A boys wrestling state tournament at the Sevier Valley Center in Richfield.
Eldredge pinned North Summit's Stephen Meek in 2 minutes, 36 seconds to clinch the 138-pound state title, his fourth overall and first in the weight class. He previously won individual championships at 106, 113 and 126 for the Eagles.
Porter Dahl (106), Lane Monroe (120), Cal Bray (126), Kolter Kelly (132), Adrian Briceno (157), Kaden Turner (190) and Gael Gutierrez (215) also won individual titles for Millard, which scored 335.5 points to out-pace second-place Beaver (260) for the Eagles' 22nd championship in program history.
San Juan (153), Grand County (128) and Duchesne (126) rounded out the top five.
