EDEN, Weber County — A 72-year-old woman who died following a crash last week on state Route 158 near Pineview Reservoir has been identified by the Weber County Sheriff's Office.

Weber County Sheriff's Lt. Sean Endsley identified the woman as Julia Aldrich on Tuesday.

The crash happened at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 5, and involved two vehicles. Aldrich was driving north on the highway, and the other car involved was southbound, Weber County Sheriff's chief deputy Josh Gard said at the time. It appeared that one of the vehicles crossed the center line, but Gard said investigators were not sure which one.

Aldrich died from her injuries in the crash.

The driver of the southbound vehicle, a 31-year-old man, was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries. Gard said the man was cooperating with investigators.

Further details on what led to the crash were not available Tuesday, as Endsley said the investigation and crash reconstruction hadn't been completed.
