LEHI — After battling some personal health struggles and "deep" depression, Karalynne Call wanted answers.
For more than two years, Call and her husband searched for a doctor that could provide some help. One doctor told her there was no "magic pill," but tested for the real cause of her depression.
Part of her struggles were related to poor nutrition. And after becoming a certified nutritionist years later, she took her message to social media and started a company called Just Ingredients.
"I came up with the name Just Ingredients because I wanted people to know that it is about the ingredients in their food, but I also wanted to talk about ingredients in life — just meaning how stress can play a role in our health and our sleep and our exercise, and our lifestyle factors play a role, as well.
"But also, our connections with other people. Our connections are an ingredient to a great, fulfilled life."
Her mission since at least 2018 has been to educate people on how they can use better products that can be "more nourishing to your body."
"Looking at our growth over five years, I never, ever thought this would happen," Call said, "but it also shows to me that people are so hungry out there for information on how to feel better."
