MIDVALE — A man was critically injured in a motorcycle crash Thursday night.

The crash happened near 1040 W. Jordan River Blvd. in Midvale.

Unified Police Sgt. Kevin Mallory said the motorcycle left the road and crashed into a tree.

"It's currently under investigation. We have our accident reconstruction team on scene," Mallory said.

A man in his 40s was taken to the hospital.

Eastbound traffic on 1300 West was temporarily shut down for a couple hours while crews investigated the crash. Westbound traffic was unaffected.
