ST. GEORGE — Brian Head Marshal's Office on Tuesday provided additional details regarding last weekend's skiing collision that sent a 7-year-old boy to the hospital with serious injuries.

As previously reported, the incident happened shortly after noon on Saturday on the Navajo Peak section of Brian Head Resort, on a trail called Paradise Run.

In a follow-up interview with Cedar City News on Tuesday, deputy marshal Jared Burton shared information taken directly from the incident report written by the sergeant who responded.

"I was advised by dispatch center of a CPR in progress call on a 7-year-old male behind a home on Ridge View, on the Paradise ski run at the Navajo Lodge," Burton said, reading aloud from the sergeant's incident report.

"Upon arrival, I hiked to the scene where there were several bystanders," the sergeant wrote in the report, adding that an off-duty nurse who happened to be on scene was already assisting the youth.
