OCTOBER CLASSIC — If one player is the face of the 2024 World Series between the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers, it's not Aaron Judge; sorry, Yankees fans.

It's Freddie Freeman.

The 35-year-old Dodgers first baseman is having a Series for the ages after enjoying a historic walk-off grand slam in Game 1, launching a solo homer in Game 2, and dropping a two-run shot into the right-field bleachers to quiet the crowd at Yankee Stadium en route to a 4-2 win and Los Angeles' 3-0 series lead, putting the Dodgers on the doorstep of a series sweep.

His run is also historic.

Freeman is just the third player in World Series history to homer in each of the first three games of the October classic, joining Hank Bauer of the Yankees in 1958 and Barry Bonds of the Giants in 2002. He's now gone yard in five straight World Series games dating back to his time in Atlanta, a streak that ties the Astros' George Springer for the all-time record.

"Couldn't ask for a better start in these three games," Freeman said after Game 3, per mlb.com. "But we have one more to go."

No player has ever homered in every game of a World Series. Freeman, who has hit .333 with three dingers, seven RBI and a 1.635 OPS against the Yankees, can make even more history in Tuesday's Game 4.

"I guess I'm seeing the ball very well," Freeman said. "Obviously not missing mistakes, hopefully we can keep it going. We have one more."
