NORTH LOGAN — A New York pharmacist is accused of sexually extorting an Utah man by posing as a woman on social media.
Frank T. Guillot, 52, of Ronkonkoma, New York, was charged Thursday in Utah's 1st District Court with three counts of aggravated sexual extortion of an adult, a second-degree felony; three counts of misuse of an intimate image in criminal action, a class A misdemeanor; and theft by extortion, a class B misdemeanor. Prosecutors have requested a warrant be issued for his arrest.
In February, a Utah resident began chatting on Snapchat with someone he thought was a woman, according to charging documents.
"(He) stated as the conversation progressed with this individual he ended up sending the individual explicit photos and videos of himself," the charges state. "After (the man) had sent the photos is when the individual identified himself as a male and told (the Utah man) that he needed to pay him $400 to keep him from sending the explicit photos to (his) list of acquaintances."
The man sent $400. But prosecutors say Guillot then demanded another $400.
The Utah man also communicated with Guillot through Instagram "and identified the individual by his Instagram username as 'Frank the Bald Guy' who was out of Queens, New York. (The man) stated the money was transferred to Frank via Venmo under the same username of 'Frank the Bald Guy,'" according to charging documents.
Police were contacted and conducted searches on the Venmo account. Investigators learned the name on the account was Guillot's and "he held a current professional pharmacist license out of New York," the charges state.
On a LinkedIn page allegedly set up by Guillot, it states, "I am, first and foremost, a guitarist. I also sing. For this, I am known as frankthebaldguy. Next, I am a certified HIV pharmacist. Finally, I am an investor. Real Estate is my most recent investment interest."
