SALT LAKE CITY — The 2024 NFL draft comes to Detroit, and the first round of the three-day event can be watched live on KSL.com.
The Chicago Bears are on the clock first, with former USC quarterback Caleb Williams, the 2022 Heisman Trophy winner, as the expected target selected at No. 1 overall. But after Williams, it's anyone's guess as to who will be drafted next.
Locally, several athletes will hope to hear their name called, including former Corner Canyon High and Oregon lineman Jackson Powers-Johnson, who is expected to be selected in the first round.
BYU offensive lineman Kingsley Suamataia, who is expected to be selected in the second round, could sneak into the first round; and former Utah safety Cole Bishop, who is expected as a Day 2 guy in the second round, are just one of many local athletes hoping to hear their name called this weekend.
