SALT LAKE CITY — For those who want to learn how to help, several events will be taking place in November.
Suicide: There is Hope! With Kevin Briggs & Kevin Hines
Nov. 21-22 Sevier Valley Center 7-9 p.m. Free
Snow College Counseling and Wellness Center is hosting the Golden Gate Guardian and author of "Cracked, Not Broken — Surviving and Thriving After a Suicide Attempt," Kevin Briggs, for this a suicide prevention event.

In 1999, Congress established Nov. 22 as National Survivors of Suicide Loss Day. Springville Library is hosting an event to recognize the day and those touched by suicide. The day will include talks by Dr. Greg Hudnall, executive director of HOPE4UTAH and Wendy Parmley, author of "Hope After Suicide," as well as information about mental health. Visitors can also receive free massages and participate in yoga.
