SALT LAKE CITY -- Several communities around the state gathered Monday to celebrate Independence Day with city parades.
Whether it was part of Ogden's Cherry Days or Provo's Freedom Festival, residents enjoyed their summer holiday morning.
Clowns were hard at work, spraying crowd members to keep them cool. Others, such as a little league baseball team, sprayed water just for the fun of it.
Of course there were plenty of floats to appease the eye, in addition to the marching bands, balloons, police sirens and F-16's flying overhead.
But it wouldn't be a Fourth of July parade without the candy, which is always a crowd-pleaser for young spectators.
