LOGAN — One of the greatest linebackers in NFL history could be making a lot of trips to Logan over the next four years.

Rayshad Lewis, son of former Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis, committed to Utah State on Tuesday night, the recruit announced on his Twitter account.

The 5-foot-9, 165-pound wide receiver/cornerback and son of the former NFL All-Pro was in Logan over the weekend, meeting with Utah State head coach Matt Wells and wide receiver coach Jovon Bouknight, [according to the Orlando Sentinel](http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/florida-recruiting/blog/os-visit-to-utah-state-puts-aggies-in-drivers-seat-for-rayshad-lewis-20160126-post.html). The younger Lewis was a two-way standout at Bishop Moore High School in Orlando, Florida, but he received limited recruiting interest during the late stages of his high school career.

Rayshad Lewis held scholarship offers from just seven other Football Bowl Subdivision schools, picking the Aggies over Appalachian State, Ball State, Florida Atlantic, Idaho, Old Dominion, Toledo and Massachusetts, according to the Sentinel. But other schools, like Minnesota, began showing late recruiting interest to the NFL progeny.

Still, Utah State was the first school to offer a scholarship to the player ranked No. 11 in the state of Florida by the Orlando newspaper.

Brighton's Kaufusi is BYU-bound

Also late Tuesday night, Brighton High outside linebacker Jackson Kaufusi announced his commitment to BYU via his Twitter account.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound linebacker totaled 100 tackles for the Bengals as a senior in 2015, notching a sack, a forced fumble and an interception.

Kaufusi visited Utah on Jan. 22 a week after taking an official visit to Washington State, but chose the Cougars over offers from both schools. A three-star athlete by Scout.com, Kaufusi also had offers from Cal, Utah State and Weber State, among others.

Players are not bound by oral commitments. National Signing Day is Feb. 3.
