CARSON, Calif. — Former Southern Utah and BYU quarterback Ammon Olsen completed 7 of 13 passes for 71 yards to lead the National team to an 18-17 win over the American squad Saturday in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl at StubHub Center in Carson, California.

Olsen was the top passer for the National team. Missouri kicker Andrew Baggett kicked six field goals in his squad's win, including a 22-yarder in the fourth quarter that proved to be the difference.

Utah quarterback Travis Wilson got the start for the American squad, leading his team on a 12-play drive on the first series that ended in a field goal. American went into halftime leading 17-9 before Olsen took over for the National squad.

Wilson finished as the No. 2 rusher for the American, with 13 yards on two carries. He also completed his first four passes and went 7-of-10 for 66 yards through the air.

Former TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin was arguably the biggest headliner of the game, making his first postseason appearance after the Horned Frogs signal caller was suspended for the Alamo Bowl following an arrest. But Boykin completed just 1 of 3 passes for 6 yards and an interception.

Northwestern State's Steven Rivers led the National squad, completing 11 of 17 passes for 96 yards and a touchdown.
