Weber State pulls away from Northern Colorado, 85-68

OGDEN, Utah (AP) — Joel Bolomboy posted his 15th double-double in 16 games, scoring 14 points and grabbing 17 rebounds to help power Weber State past Northern Colorado, 85-68, to win its third straight game to open the Big Sky Conference season.

The Wildcats (11-5, 3-0) now have won six straight and Bolomboy is tied for the most double-doubles in the nation.

Weber State took a 40-34 lead at intermission and Richard Gittens hit a 3-pointer to push the lead to 12, 62-50, with under 10 minutes to play and the Wildcats cruised home from there.

Coming off a 26-point night Thursday against North Dakota, Jeremy Senglin led Weber State with 15 points. Kyndahl Hill added 14 points.

Jeremy Verhagen scored 14 points to lead Northern Colorado (4-12, 1-3). Dallas Anglin and Jordan Davis each added 11 points and Jordan Wilson contributed another 10.
