SALT LAKE CITY — The University of Utah will welcome the crew from ESPN's College GameDay this weekend as No. 5 Utah welcomes No. 23 Cal for its homecoming game. Here are the details on how to participate in the weekend festivities.

GameDay will broadcast from Presidents Circle Friday and Saturday starting at 10 a.m. Friday and going through 3 p.m. There will be a live show broadcast from 12:00-12:30 p.m. Friday.

On Saturday, GameDay will broadcast live from 7-10 a.m. Saturday, with gates opening at 4:30 a.m. For those wanting a prime spot during the broadcast, overnight camping will be allowed starting at 6 p.m. Friday, but must be cleaned up by 4 a.m. Saturday.

The first 300 people in line will be admitted into "the pit," which will be an area close to the GameDay set.

The university will be hosting a "carnival-like atmosphere" on Friday, with several GameDay sponsors offering food sampling, games, promotional items and a sign-making competition. All events will be free to the public.

While GameDay encourages those in attendance to bring signs, the university has prohibited "projectiles, signs on sticks, food or drink, backpacks and purses."

Individuals looking to park on campus can park free in the general parking area of the Merrill Engineering lot Saturday morning. Crimson Club members may begin parking Friday night in the Guardsman Way lot starting at 10 p.m. Friday or as soon as the lot is cleared.

Utah and Cal is set to kickoff at 8 p.m. on ESPN.
