PROVO — Nearly three years ago, BYU received a commitment from California linebacker Fred Warner. On Wednesday, the Cougars got a similar commitment from another Warner: Fred's younger brother Troy.

Warner was among recruits who visited campus this past week during BYU's come-from-behind 35-24 win over then-No. 20 Boise State. The younger Warner picked BYU over offers from Arizona, Boston College, Cal, Notre Dame, Oregon, Utah and Vanderbilt, among others. He previously committed to Oregon, but re-opened his recruitment in late August.
Warner's brother Fred played in 10 games as a freshman and recorded 24 tackles, one tackle for loss and an interception returned 20 yards for a touchdown. In two games in 2015, Fred Warner has 14 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and a fumble recovery.
BYU's recruiting class of 2016 got another boost Wednesday evening when Bountiful linebacker Max Tooley added his commitment to the Cougars.
Tooley, a 6-foot-1, 193-pound prospect, also made his intentions known on Twitter.

Through four weeks of the 2015 season, Tooley has a team-high 36 tackles, two sacks and an interception for the 2-2 Braves while holding opponents to 21 points per game.
