BANANAS TOWN — Filmmaker Sbastien Montaz-Rosset likes to trail run. But there's trail running and then there's trail running.
Montaz-Rosset posted a video Aug. 9 of what he simply called an "evening jog," but don't let that innocuous phrase fool you. The video shows him taking his trail-running love to dizzying and insane heights as he travels along a ridge in the French Alps.
I know, that doesn't sound special. But when you watch the video, you'll see that this particular ridge is just wide enough for one person to walk it, with incredibly steep drop-offs on each side. To run the blasted thing is ill-advised in and of itself, but Montaz-Rosset runs it as quickly as he can. On top of all that bananas-town behavior, he even jumps down steep bits of the trail.
I don't know about the rest of you, but sometimes I have trouble staying on a sidewalk wide enough for three with a 4-inch curb drop on one side. But I've never been accused of having physical prowess either.
Whatever your prowess, please watch this video at your own risk, and please don't try this at home or on a mountain ridge near you.
