NFL TRAINING CAMPS— It was a good week for locals in the NFL, with both past stars and undrafted free agents trying to make a team.
Alex Smith had a touchdown pass in the Chiefs' win over the Seahawks, but he wasn't the only former Utah college player to show off. Former Aggie Bobby Wagner picked off Smith, then returned it for a touchdown.
Apparently, Wagner told Smith before the game that he was going to do just that.
Also in Kansas City, former BYU safety Daniel Sorensen is working hard to try to keep his roster spot. Bringing the heat on this safety blitz will help, and also secure him his first professional sack.
Remember Corbin Louks, the one-time Utah quarterback who transferred to Nevada to play safety and wide receiver? He's now trying to make the Denver Broncos' roster as a receiver and return man.
Catching the game-winning touchdown pass on Saturday night will only help his cause.
According to several Miami Dolphins beat reporters, former Utah State linebacker Zach Vigil, the Aggies' all-time leading tackler, is almost a lock to make the Fins' 53-man roster as a special-teams player.

That's an impressive feat for any undrafted free agent, but Vigil separated himself with his strong work ethic and aggressive play, according to reports.
