LAS VEGAS — Utah Jazz first-round draft pick Trey Lyles saved his best for last, helping the Jazz defeat the Los Angeles Lakers 84-78 in the teams' final game at the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas on Friday.

Lyles had 20 points, including four 3-pointers, and nine rebounds in nearly 20 minutes of play for the Jazz, who got 15 points each from Bryce Cotton and Jared Cunningham.

Olivier Hanlan added nine points, six rebounds and three assists from the starting five for Utah, who put Lyles, Cotton, Hanlan, Jack Cooley and Wesley Saunders to start against the Lakers.

D'Angelo Russell had 21 points and four rebounds to lead the Lakers. Tarik Black added 16 points and Jabari Brown 14 for LA, who got 12 points from Jordan Clarkson and 11 from Julius Randle.

The L.A. bench only scored four points, while Cunningham and Brock Motum combined for 20 of Utah's 30 points off the bench.
