CLIVE, Tooele County — A Provo man was killed in an accident in Tooele County on Saturday.

About 2:30 p.m., a Ford Explorer headed west on I-80 drifted off to the left and the driver attempted to over-correct, causing the SUV to roll. Ryan David Sorensen, 48, who was in the passenger seat and not wearing a seat belt, was ejected and killed, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

The 71-year-old driver, Sorensen's father, was wearing a seat belt. He was taken to a local hospital by medical helicopter with neck and back pain, the UHP said.
