Nomination letter submitted by Carrie Wadman:

Caryl's husband has been diagnosed with autoimmune liver disease along with various other problems. He is unable to work because of his illness(es). Caryl has supported him and her family with an amazingly positive attitude even through the difficulties of having to sell their home, their cars, and make numerous other sacrifices in order to pay medical bills and take care of their family.

While wading through the long and stressful process of applying for disability for her husband, she discovered that crocheting was a good release for her. She learned to crochet beautiful caps/beanies and began making donations to Knots of Love. She also went to McKay Dee Hospital, offering to crochet caps for women going through cancer treatment. She has taken samples to the hospital and women who would like a cap get to choose the style and color. She has also found people/organizations to be sponsors to pay for supplies so the caps are provided free of charge. She provided over 100 caps in 2014.

This was on top of working full time plus some and taking care of family. She is giving and loving in every aspect of her life and is a wonderful example to all those who know her.
