LEHI — Dough!
A semitruck hauling 20,000 pounds of frozen dough tipped onto its side early Tuesday on an I-15 frontage road.
The accident happened about 4:20 a.m. in the southbound lanes near Lehi, said Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce. Investigators believe drowsy driving — or the driver possibly falling asleep at the wheel — caused him to drift off to the right shoulder.
"(He) missed a bunch of signs, overcorrected, and (the truck) tipped onto its side," Royce said.
The trailer remained intact and the frozen dough did not spill onto the road, he said. However, it took cleanup crews about five hours to transfer the dough from one vehicle to another and to get the truck upright and off the road.
