LOGAN — A former fraternity president at Utah State University was arrested Tuesday in connection with a sex abuse investigation.
Ryan Wray, 26, was booked into the Cache County Jail for investigation of forcible sex abuse and immediately posted $10,000 bail. Wray is a member and former president of the Pi Kappa Alphas, an off-campus fraternity known in Logan as the “pike house.”
A woman told police in early March that she was at the fraternity house when she awoke to find Wray "touching her inappropriately without her approval," Logan Police Capt. Tyson Budge said.
The woman said she yelled at Wray, and he ran out of the room.
Police brought Wray in for questioning Tuesday. According to Budge, Wray discussed the incident and multiple other sexual assaults.
The alleged victim was accompanied by other women who described similar behavior, Budge said. The other women, however, did not fill out police statements.

"The other girls that came in … didn’t want to participate in the investigation," Budge said. "They were kind of more supporting this young women that (suffered) this most egregious act. … I wish we could identify those other victims, but we'll have to see what comes out of it. Some of them are uncooperative and some of them are just unknown."
The alleged victim said she was drunk when she was touched, according to Budge. Wray had apparently been designated by the fraternity to assist inebriated women.
"He was the (fraternity's) — I don't know what they call him — 'safety guy' I guess. If you can’t take care of yourself, they brought (you) to him," he said. "Some of these girls were dropped off by their friends, not just brought there by guys or fraternity guys."
USU spokesman Tim Vitale said a panel of administrators planned to meet with Wray Wednesday to review the allegations and possible disciplinary actions.
During such hearings, “a student meets with an administrator or administrative team, and that team hears the student’s side of the story and decides whether or not sanctions or any kind of action needs to be taken,” Vitale said.
Administrators could act on the matter immediately or take up to a few days to make a decision, he said. Students then have the right to appeal the decision.

No charges have been filed against Wray. His Facebook page indicates he is originally from Idaho Falls.
