HILL HOUSE, New England — It’s been 30 years since “Clue” first hit movie theaters.

Originally treating audiences to an experience where every viewing unveiled a new ending, “Clue” somehow ended up as a financial disappointment in theaters, but later became a cult classic on VHS.

But what’s happened to the eccentric cast of characters? After shedding their need to kill with pipes, ropes and revolvers in the dining room, or billiard room, or maybe in the study, well, where did they go?

We’ve done some digging and can answer just that. Here’s your cast of “Clue” 30 years later.

Wadsworth (the butler)

Since “Clue,” Tim Curry has enjoyed success in everything from feature films to video games.

Curry has lent his golden voice to about every animated TV series you can think of and has played villainous leads in films like Disney’s “The Three Musketeers,” “Legend” and “Muppet Treasure Island.” You may have also heard Curry while listening to your favorite audiobook on the way to work, or even on the radio since Curry has dabbled as a solo music artist.

In 2012, Curry suffered a major stroke and has been attending physical therapy since that time. Reports from his agent, Marica Hurwitz, suggest his recovery is going well.

Eileen Brennan was 80 when she said goodbye to this crazy world back in 2013. Before “Clue,” Brennan was known most famously as Capt. Doreen Lewis from “Private Benjamin.” After “Clue,” Brennan made a successful career for herself on television, showing up in episodes of “Magnum, P.I.” and “Newhart.” Brennan also had recurring roles in both “7th Heaven” and “Will & Grace.”

Brennan was a breast cancer survivor but eventually lost her battle to bladder cancer, and past away at her home in Burbank, California.

Mrs. White

Like many of her fellow cast mates, Madeline Kahn found success in television and voiceover work after “Clue.” Kahn also played in feature films such as Oliver Stone’s “Nixon” and earned a Tony Award for her role as Dr. Gorgeous in the 1993 Broadway production of “The Sisters Rosensweig.”

Kahn was still working on the show “Cosby” when she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 1998, and in December of 1999, shortly after her marriage to John Hansbury, passed away. Today, there is a bench dedicated to her memory in Central Park.

Professor Plum

Christopher Lloyd has continued working in film and television after leaving that mysterious mansion back in 1985.

Now most famous for his role as Dr. Emmett Brown in the Back to the Future series, Lloyd boasts a resume of many memorable and iconic characters including that of Judge Doom from “Who Framed Roger Rabbit,” Taber from “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” and Reverend Jim Ignatowski from the television show “Taxi.”

Last year, fellow BttF actor Michael J. Fox reunited with Lloyd on “The Michael J. Fox Show” and coming up, Lloyd will be making appearances in “Cold Moon,” “The Boat Builder” and “I Am Not a Serial Killer.”

Mr. Green

Before “Clue,” most people knew Michael McKean as Lenny from “Laverne & Shirley,” or possibly David St. Hubbins from “This is Spinal Tap.”

Since “Clue,” there’s any number of projects by which to know McKean by. “Radioland Murders,” “The Brady Bunch Movie,” “Saturday Night Live,” “Pinky and the Brain” — this guy has been everywhere. Also a talented guitar player and celebrity impressionist, today McKean is married to Anette O’Toole and can be seen on the “Breaking Bad” spin-off, “Better Call Saul.”

Colonel Mustard

Many readers will know Martin Mull best as private detective Gene Parmesan from “Arrested Development.”

After “Clue,” the famous comedian focused most his professional efforts on television, working on series like “The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour,” “The Golden Girls,” “Parker Lewis Can’t Lose” and “Two and a Half Men.”

Mull also is an accomplished musician and has even tried his hand at musical comedy. Mull has also been painting since the 1970s and published a book of his paintings called “Paintings, Drawings and Words.”

Mull’s most recent appearance was as George Perry on the TV series “Community.”

Miss Scarlet

Lesley Ann Warren has been very busy since playing Miss Scarlet.

Beginning as a ballet dancer and quickly moving to theater before film and television, Warren’s recent projects include the controversial “Secretary” and TV series appearances on “Will & Grace,” “Desperate Housewives” and that “Clue” episode of “Psych.”

Warren was also recently seen on “Community” and has upcoming roles in “The Sphere and the Labyrinth” and “It Snows All the Time.”

Yvette

The same year “Clue” was released, Colleen Camp was also in “Police Academy 2,” “Doin’ Time,” “D.A.R.Y.L.” and even made an appearance on the "Tales from the Darkside” television series.

Since then, Camp hasn’t slowed down, continuing with the Police Academy franchise and appearing in films like “Wayne’s World,” “Die Hard: With a Vengeance” and recently in the acclaimed 2013 hit, “American Hustle.”

Camp will soon be seen in “The Truth About Lies” and “Lake Mead.”
