CACHE COUNTY — A man was injured while snowmobiling Thursday afternoon, prompting a response from search and rescue crews.
The injury occurred in Arbs Basin and Cache, and search and rescue crews from Rich County responded to the incident, according to a Cache County Sheriff’s Office news release. The details of the injury were not released, but responders administered first aid at the scene.
Poor weather conditions would not permit an air rescue, so the injured man was being transported out of the basin by rescue sled, the news release said. He will then be transported by ambulance to an Ogden hospital.
The victim’s condition was not immediately available and his name is not being released, pending notification of family.
More information will be posted as it becomes available.
