OGDEN- A Pac-12 opponent, the four-time defending FCS national champions and a full slate of Big Sky Conference games highlight the 2015 Weber State football schedule. Wildcat head coach Jay Hill announced the 2015 schedule Wednesday which will now begin a day earlier than planned.

The Wildcats will open the 11-game season against Oregon State of the Pac-12 Conference, led by new head coach Gary Andersen. The game with the Beavers has been moved to Friday, Sept. 4 and will begin at 5 p.m. PDT in Reser Stadium in Corvallis, Ore. The game was originally scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 5. It will be Weber State's first ever game against Oregon State and the third straight season the Wildcats will face a Pac-12 school. Andersen and Hill were both assistant coaches together at the University of Utah.

Weber State will then take on the four-time defending FCS national champion North Dakota State Bison on Saturday, Sept. 12 in Fargo, N.D. NDSU defeated Weber State last September in Ogden and went on to win its fourth straight national title.

The Wildcats will play two Friday games, playing games against Oregon State and Southern Utah.

The WSU home opener will be Saturday, Sept. 17 as the Wildcats host Sacramento State in a non-conference game. It will also be the annual Homecoming game at Weber State. The Wildcats and Hornets will not play each other during the Big Sky season and the game will not count in the league standings.

The Wildcats will begin Big Sky Conference play Sept. 26 at Northern Colorado. WSU will also face road Big Sky games at Montana (Oct. 10), Northern Arizona (Oct. 24) and Eastern Washington (Oct. 31).

Weber State will have four Big Sky Conference home games beginning Friday, Oct. 2 against in-state rival Southern Utah. The Wildcats will also host North Dakota (Oct. 17), UC Davis (Nov. 7) and Idaho State (Nov. 21) at Stewart Stadium.

"We are really excited for the schedule we have in place this year," Hill said. "The chance to play Oregon State and North Dakota State in the preseason will be great tests for our team and then we have a another really competitive Big Sky schedule this year. We can't wait to get started."

Spring practice will begin March 24 and will conclude with the annual spring game at Stewart Stadium on Saturday, April 25.
