ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Jalen Moore had 19 points and Darius Perkins hit a key 3-pointer Saturday in Utah State's 63-60 win over New Mexico.

Perkins' 3 with 2:50 left caromed high off the side of the rim, kissed the backboard and dropped in for a 61-55 Aggies lead.

The Lobos (14-9, 6-5 Mountain West) did have four 3-point looks that would have tied it in the final minute, but Hugh Greenwood failed twice as did Devon Williams and Tim Jacobs.

Chris Smith, who finished with 13 points, hit consecutive 3-pointers in the last minute of the first half to pull the Aggies (13-10, 6-5) all the way back from an early nine-point deficit and give them a 33-30 advantage at the break that they never relinquished.

Moore scored 10 of Utah State's first 11 points of the second half to push the Aggies to a 46-39 edge with 13:40 left.

The Aggies used a 6-0 run to go up 56-46 lead with eight minutes left, but New Mexico responded with a 9-1 run behind eight points from Deshawn Delaney to pull within 57-55 with 4:17 remaining. But the Lobos would get no closer.
