CEDAR CITY — The Southern Utah University football team added 30 new players to their roster on National Signing Day as announced Wednesday. The new class is filled with offensive and defensive linemen, which seemed to be the focus of the coaching staff.

The Thunderbirds kept up with their tradition of signing athletes from the State of Utah as they pulled in 18 kids from the beehive state. From the state of Utah, SUU adds Jordan High defensive lineman Sharmon Sealey, Woods Cross linebacker Masi Giles, Herriman tight end Josh McMillin and Alta High linebacker Zack Moreton. Joining his teammate Moreton is Alta High's Don Wilkinson. SUU also added offensive linemen Nick Bernardo from American Fork, Austin Peterson from Woods Cross, Tyler Christensen from Salem Hills High School and Mitch Halverson from Bountiful High School.

SUU continues its commitments from Utah players with defensive linemen Collin Parrish from Bountiful and Myles Tapusoa from West High School. The Bott brothers, Taylor and Tylor, come to SUU from Pleasant Grove High School and Manu Lorenzo, a defensive back from East High, will also join the Thunderbirds.

Quarterback Nick Robins, follows in the footsteps of his father Rick Robins, as he becomes a Thunderbird. From Southern Utah, the Thunderbirds picked up, Pine View High's Raymond Fiame and Bladen Hosner, and from Desert Hills, wide receiver Bridger Cowdin.

SUU signed 10 athletes from out of state, including Kahlil Bradley, a wide receiver from Monrovia, Calif., Jalyn Harrison, a defensive back from Westlake Village, Calif., and Chase Stephens from Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. SUU adds three more offensive linemen to the team in Tayson Reid from Preston, Idaho, Grady Sami from Colorado Springs, Colo., and Dominic O'Brien from San Pedro, Calif. Linebacker Hunter Quinn from San Diego, Calif., and Joe Critchlow from Franklin, Tenn. round out the out of state players.

The Thunderbirds picked up two transfers in Steven Wroblewski out of Central Lakes Community College and Camran Parhar from Laney Junior College.
