OGDEN, Utah -- For the second-straight year, Weber State head coach Jay Hill has signed a big group of players to join the WSU football team. Hill signed 32 student-athletes to join the Wildcat program Wednesday as part of National Signing Day.

A total of 19 of the 32 players signed played in or are from the state of Utah. WSU also added six players from California, three from Nevada, two from Arizona and one each from Texas and Washington. This year's class has a mix of all positions with 18 players on offense and 14 on defense. Seven players signed are offensive lineman. There are also four junior college transfers included in the class.

The 19 in-state signees represented 17 in-state high schools.

"Once again we are really excited about this year's recruiting class," said Hill. "This was another very solid class and we were able to get a lot of quality players. A large percentage of recruits are from the state of Utah which is a big priority for us. Our coaching staff did a great job of recruiting and getting the players we targeted. The caliber of players keeps going up and I couldn't be happier with where we are right now."
