OGDEN — The logjam at the top of the Big Sky just won’t separate.

With two games left in the season, five teams have a chance to win the conference, and myriad tie-breaking options remain in play.

The biggest win of the weekend may have come from a team without a win, though. Weber State picked up its first win of the season as the Wildcats beat North Dakota 24-12. Quarterback Jadrian Clark threw three touchdown passes, as Jay Hill earned his first win as Weber’s coach.

Eastern Washington earned a tough 36-24 win over the Montana Grizzlies as quarterback Vernon Adams returned from injury to throw four touchdown passes. The Eagles are 6-1 in conference, while the Grizzlies are 4-2.

Next week's featured game is Idaho State traveling to face Montana State.

The other battle of one-loss teams came as Cal Poly traveled to take on upstart Idaho State. The Bengals scored 14 points in the first quarter, and quarterback Justin Arias threw three touchdown passes as Idaho State beat the Mustangs 30-28.

Northern Arizona remained in a good position for the title, beating UC-Davis 23-21. A week after they went on a 29-0 run against Weber State, the Lumberjacks held a 23-7 halftime lead before the Aggies put the end result in question.

Portland State gave Montana State a scare as the Bobcats barely escaped the game with a 29-22 victory. Bobcats quarterback Dakota Prukop rushed for two touchdowns in the win.

In other conference action, Sacramento State blew out visiting Southern Utah, beating the Thunderbirds 42-21.

Next week’s highlight matchup is Idaho State traveling to Montana State. Northern Colorado travels to Weber State, Montana travels to Southern Utah, and UC-Davis travels to Cal Poly for an in-state rivalry game. Also, Portland State travels to Sacramento State.
