SALT LAKE CITY — A doctor who seemingly has it all wonders if she has lost focus on what matters most.

A family fearing the loss of a child searches for comfort amidst an uncertain future.

A man who lost his way searches for a purpose.

By chance, all of these people stumble upon a Facebook page that prompts them all to make drastic changes in their lives. The Facebook page is Mitchell’s Journey, which now has more than 260,000 followers. It was started by a father who simply wanted to record his son’s final journey on this earth and in doing so discovered countless tender mercies and miracles.

Christopher Jones’ poignant accounts have inspired people around the world to focus more on their families, renew their faith and even discover a belief in God. This half special explores how the boy with a broken heart and social media helped change, heal and strengthen the hearts of four different families living in Nevada, Ohio and Utah.
