Hi there everybody and welcome to KSL Golf presented by Siegfried & Jensen.

This week we are are at the Barn Golf Club in Pleasant View where this Friday is the Barn Amateur.

This week's show includes:

  • KSL Celebrity Cup Challenge: Governor Gary Herbert and Lt Governor Spencer Cox were tied after the first two holes of the KSL Cup Celebrity Challenge. They were both one over par. Bountiful Ridge number 18, a par 5 was the hole to determine a winner. Both players were lying two within 100 yards of the green. Governor Herbert put his approach shot to 8 feet from the cup and Lt Governor Cox came up short of the green. Governor Herbert ‘lipped' out his birdie putt and tapped in for a par to win the challenge.
  • Putt for Cash: Time once again to try to give away some money in the Siegfried & Jensen Putt for cash. Each week, one person will have a choice of a 10 footer for 1000 dollars, 20 footer for 2000 or a 30 footer for 3000 bucks. And they will get 2 putts at it. This week's putter, Cyntia Wentz of Logan.
  • Uinta Golf Tip of the Week: Brian Boudreau of Salt Lake City provided this week's question as he wanted to know the correct ball position for a driver compared to a 3 wood. Thanksgiving Point Director of Golf Mark Whetzel joins us with some help.
  • Foot Golf: There is a new type of golf game hitting Utah. It is called Foot Golf. It is a combination of soccer and golf. No clubs, no golf balls. The game is played with a soccer ball and your feet only. You tee off by kicking the soccer ball down the fairway and continue kicking it until you put it in a specially designed 21 inch cup. You play the game and score according to the traditional golf rules. The first major Foot Golf tournament in Utah will be held this Saturday at Southgate in St. George.
