SALT LAKE CITY- Salt Lake claimed its third victory in four days as it topped the Albuquerque Isotopes 6-4 Monday night at Smith's Ballpark. The Bees were steady at the plate as seven of nine players reached base at least once. Trailing 2-0 in the third, the Bees capitalized on a two-out Isotope error followed by a walk, to take the lead with three unearned runs.

Though Albuquerque collected three additional runs throughout the game, the Bees kept the momentum to remain in the lead until the end. Grant Green also continued his dominance in the batters box, going 2-for-3 with a walk to increase his batting average to .400, while Tommy Field and Luis Martinez each chipped in a 2-for-4 night at the plate. Efren Navarro had yet another record-breaking night as he added his 501st and 502nd hits, both doubles, to take over first for the most hits in franchise history.

Salt Lake's Efren Navarro had two doubles to become the franchise's all-time hits leader.

"It's a bitter sweet moment," said Navarro. "Obviously the goal is to be in the big leagues and to break records there, but it just shows the hard work and dedication I put in day in and day out."

Appearing in relief for Salt Lake, Kurt Spomer and Brandon Lyon combined to toss four scoreless innings in relief, while Michael Morin closed the game with a save. Bees starter Matt Shoemaker would take a no decision as Spomer (1-0) claimed the win in his Triple-A debut. Albuquerque's Zach Lee (2-1) was handed the loss. The Bees take the field at noon tomorrow for the last game of this home series.
