SALT LAKE CITY- Like he has been so many times before, TJ Haws provided the jumpstart for Lone Peak.

The Knights were down and out against Bingham in the quarterfinal, but he led them back. Now, with a 5A state championship hanging in the balance, Haws again proved his control of the game, scoring 29 points to lead Lone Peak to its fourth consecutive state championship, in an 84-66 win over Pleasant Grove at the Jon M. Huntsman Center.

The Knights led 17-13 after the first quarter, but went on a scoring frenzy in the second quarter, putting 30 points on the scoreboard to take a 47-29 halftime lead. From there, Lone Peak was able to coast home in the second half, playing defense and rebounding to win the title.
