CHENEY, Wash. (AP) — Tyler Harvey set a Big Sky Conference record by going 20-20 from the foul line en route to a career high 36 points to carry Eastern Washington to a 90-83 win over Southern Utah on Thursday.

The previous free throw record was 16-16 by EWU's Jason Lewis in 2001. Two players made 20 free throws in a game.

In the last 2:48 the Eagles (8-10, 3-4) made 16 of 17 free throws, finishing 38 of 49, both school records. Venky Jois added 19 points.

Thunderbirds (1-15, 0-7) fell to 0-10 on the road with their 15th straight loss. They were 11 of 19 from the line but shot 54 percent from the field, hitting 8 of 17 3-pointers. Trey Kennedy had a career-high 22 points and A.J. Hess had 17.

Eastern Washington raced to a 19-4 lead but the Thunderbirds stormed back to take a 39-38 lead at the half.
