A University of Utah graduate, Fueger (pronounced FEE'-gur) comes to Provo after a single season as the operations director for Stew Morrill at Utah State. Prior to his year as DBO in Logan, Fueger served in same capacity at UC Riverside during the 2011-12 season. From 2007-08 through 2010-2011, Fueger was the Director of Basketball Operations for Kerry Rupp at Louisiana Tech.

Before going to work for Rupp, Fueger was at Utah, where he spent five seasons as a student assistant and administrative assistant under coaches Rick Majerus and Ray Giacoletti. At Utah, Fueger also worked alongside current BYU assistant coach Tim LaComb, who was the Runnin' Utes' video coordinator from 2005 through 2007.

In a statement released by the school, BYU head basketball coach Dave Rose said of Fueger: "Cody brings great experience to our program. He's got a terrific track record in the business and has earned the trust of several great coaches."

"He's been given tremendous responsibility everywhere he's been and has had great success. We're excited to have him on our staff."

A Milwaukee native, Fueger attended Wisconsin-Oshkosh before earning his bachelor's and master's degrees at Utah.

Fueger replaces former Cougar hoopster Mike Hall, who after three seasons as BYU's operations director, will now serve as an academic advisor in the school's Student-Athlete Academic Center, where he will work with the men's basketball, softball and the men's and women's swimming and diving programs.
