SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush was in Salt Lake City on Tuesday for a fundraising luncheon where he spoke about presidential candidate Donald Trump and the GOP's need to appeal to Latino and African American voters.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports Bush told supporters that he thinks Trump is a viable candidate but is not a conservative and will fade from the pack of Republican contenders as he defends his controversial positions.

Utah Sen. Orrin Hatch, former presidential candidate and Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman and Utah Gov. Gary Herbert were among about 100 people who attended the private event at the home of former U.S. Ambassador John Price.

The Deseret News reports Bush spoke about policy and took questions for two hours at the event, where donors paid anywhere from $2,700 to $10,000 to attend.
