SALT LAKE CITY — Former Salt Lake City mayor Deedee Corradini died this weekend from lung cancer, even though she did not smoke.
She confirmed to KSL in February about her fight, and says she was diagnosed last July 2014.
One of the last times she appeared on KSL Newsradio was in July 2014, on "A Woman's View with Amanda Dickson." She spoke about the big news topics of the time, including the conflicts between Israel and Hamas, and Russia and Ukraine.
Corradini's experience growing up in the Middle East, and as an international board member gave her unique perspectives on the news. She also talked about her work in real estate, women's issues, and as the president of Women's Ski Jumping USA.
The show was taped over the Pionner Day holiday, so at the end of the program, Corradini was asked about work/life balance and taking vacation days. Below is her response.
