SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Utah Jazz first-round pick Rodney Hood, who has been sidelined with a foot injury, is set to play Friday night in his first game since Jan. 18.

Coach Quin Snyder said Hood's minutes will be restricted to approximately five per half against the Portland Trail Blazers.

Hood was the No. 23 overall pick out of Duke in the 2014 draft and was expected to add a scoring punch on the wing.

The 6-foot-8, 215-pounder has played just 24 games, including five starts, because of inflammation in his left foot. Hood averaged 5.3 points and 2.5 rebounds and shot 31.7 percent from the field.

The Jazz also gets shooting guard Joe Ingles back from a bout with back spasms. He missed the last three games before the All-Star break.
