ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) — Five Palms won the $60,000 feature by 4 1/2 lengths Thursday at Santa Anita.
Ridden by Martin Garcia, Five Palms ran seven furlongs in 1:22.29 and paid $4, $3.40 and $2.40 at even-money odds in his first race since Dec. 26, 2013, for Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert.
Raised a Secret returned $4.60 and $3.40, while Airfoil was another length back in third and paid $2.40 to show.
The victory, worth $36,000, increased Five Palms' career earnings to $100,680, with three wins in five starts.
