NEW YORK (AP) — Two minor league pitchers have each been suspended 50 games for drug violations.

Arizona right-hander Austin Mason and Chicago White Sox righty Lucas Shearrow were banned Friday by the commissioner's office. They tested positive for a second time for a drug of abuse.

The 22-year-old Mason went 2-0 with a 3.21 ERA in 26 games for Missoula in the rookie Pioneer League.

The 24-year-old Shearrow was 3-3 with a 3.17 ERA in 19 games with Great Falls of the Pioneer League.

There have been 15 suspensions this year under the minor league program, 10 of them involving drugs of abuse.
