BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Authorities arrested a man accused of kicking a Boise police officer.
Boise police said in a news release that officers initially contacted 35-year-old Ezeikel Ward of Nampa about an illegally parked truck, but a records check showed he had a failure-to-appear warrant out of Canyon County.
When police tried to take him into custody late Thursday, he allegedly kicked on officer twice in the leg before he was put into the patrol car. He was charged with battery on law enforcement.
The Idaho Press-Tribune reports (http://is.gd/k8UMpE ) that Ward has previous convictions for driving without privileges, contempt of court, possession of a controlled substance, violation of a court order, disturbing the peace, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear.
