FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) — U.S. Sens. Richard Burr and Thom Tillis are headlining the 14th annual North Carolina Defense & Economic Development Trade Show, where business owners can meet with federal agencies about military needs.

The trade show is being held Monday at Fayetteville Technical Community College. Both senators are scheduled to attend the opening of the show.

More than 100 vendors are expected to attend the trade show, including ones representing cyber security, military housing and canine detection training. The show includes displays, demonstrations of military equipment, agency briefings and informal networking opportunities.

Burr says the event helps North Carolina businesses learn the federal contracts process.
