BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Idaho Power is asking state officials to rule that 10 solar projects proposed for central Idaho are instead one big project and should fall under a different set of regulations more favorable to the energy company. The Idaho Public Utilities Commission last week opened a case concerning Site Based Energy's project near Bellevue and is taking public comments through Aug. 14.

LEADORE, Idaho (AP) — The FBI is sending a team of investigators to assist the Lemhi County Sheriff's Office in its search for a missing 2-year-old who disappeared during a family camping trip. KBOI-TV reports Sheriff Lynn Bowerman said he's convinced the toddler was not abducted, but he can't rule out the possibility.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — An Idaho craft brewery has to change the name of its most popular beer after facing a cease-and-desist letter from another brewer. The Idaho Statesman reports that Payette Brewery's Outlaw IPA will be rebranded by the end of the year. Payette is Idaho's largest producer of beer. Founder Mike Francis says an Illinois-based brewery owns a trademark on their version of an Outlaw IPA.

EMMETT, Idaho (AP) — Two people were injured when a salt block fell off a pickup truck on Idaho 52 and went through the windshield of another pickup. The Idaho State Police say a 26-year-old Nampa man and a 5-year-old child were sent to hospitals north of Emmett on Saturday afternoon.
