SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A Clearfield woman who embezzled almost $900,000 from two Utah companies has been sentenced to more than three years in prison.

KSL-TV in Salt Lake City reports (http://bit.ly/1IfUNrw) that 41-year-old Teri Ann Jarvis pleaded guilty this week in federal court to mail fraud, wire fraud and aggravated identity theft.

A judge sentenced Jarvis to three years and six months in prison. Jarvis will start serving her sentence in January.

Prosecutors say Jarvis admitted to stealing nearly $850,000 from Positive Power, an Ogden electrical services contractor.

They say she managed the company's bank accounts and credit cards from October 2006 through September 2013. She forged checks payable to herself.

While working for Bronco Fence Company in Kaysville in 2014, she transferred false refunds to her own bank account.
