TOKYO (AP) — Taekwondo could become the latest sport to have its venue moved for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics as part of a widening review into plans for the games.

The Japan Taekwondo Federation says the head of the World Taekwondo Federation will visit the Japanese capital next month to inspect a facility at a convention center in Chiba prefecture, about a one-hour train ride outside of Tokyo.

In Tokyo's winning bid for the games, taekwondo was to be held at a venue close to the athletes village but the complex lacked space because the International Broadcast Center is also being housed there.

Other venues under review include those for basketball, triathlon and sailing.

Tokyo Governor Yoichi Masuzoe has said the overall venue plans need to be revised because of concerns over rising costs.
