ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Defenseman Korbinian Holzer has re-signed with the Anaheim Ducks, agreeing to a one-year deal worth $750,000.
The Ducks announced the deal Thursday.
Holzer never played for the Ducks after Anaheim acquired him from the Toronto Maple Leafs at the trade deadline March 2, but he will compete for a roster spot in training camp.
The German defenseman has appeared in 58 NHL games with the Maple Leafs, collecting nine points and 55 penalty minutes. He has spent most of his North American career with the AHL's Toronto Marlies.
